The liquid she conjures from her hands has healing properties, mainly by accelerating cell regeneration. The opposite is theoretically also possible, but Ari refuses to entertain any hypotheses.

Employment / Education
Ari learned her letters from her sister. She picked up enough math to haggle with the vendors at the market outside their humble home. After moving to the Egg, Teach nurtured her love of plants as much she could, sometimes growing Ari’s skills in other respects by relating it with plants. Because of this, Ari has an undergraduate level understanding in organic chemistry and close to graduate level in biology.
She also requested EMT training and intense medical studies once she figured out her power could be used to help people. These were done at a Morpheus-affiliated university.
Though she is under the Keres, Darian has been behind on getting her contract together, so she’s not officially on payroll yet despite turning 18 recently.

Medical Record
Ari has severe anxiety of every flavor—social, separation, you name it, she has it. She is timid and polite with strangers, but can get nagging, clingy, and overbearing with people she is close to. If she could bubble wrap everyone, she would.
She has scratched both Fen and Oliver when they try to calm her down during panic attacks. She always apologizes and overcompensates for a while afterwards.

Personality
She’s a sweet summer child who wants the best for everyone. The dreamers like her because she’s obedient and strives to please… except the one frustrating part where she refuses to use her power to harm others. She has a calm, meek presence. At the center is a precious cinnamon bun, with a bunch of nervous energy wrapped around it.
She fiercely protects her naive outlook and childish innocent view on life and people.

Her mother remarried, and she became very wary of strangers. She and Oli moved to the Egg a few years afterwards.

She sings and talks to her plants and reads a lot of books and medical papers. She is the most likely to cook out of all of the Keres that live at the Egg, although she is limited to simpler recipes.

Special Skills
Ari can fight, but she doesn’t like to and will try her best, often at her own expense, to only incapacitate opponents. She has an extendable baton in her med bag. She doesn’t really use it, though. Her power conjures liquid out of the air. When she activates her power, three water drops extend out from her temples. The water has regenerative properties, so it can heal injuries and such.
Spoilers
Her power is actually time control, so she isn’t healing in the purest sense, more so speeding up the recovery process. She later learns how to use her power to “decay” organisms, i.e. cell death. She uses this against a myriad of things, but never really justifies it enough to cause lethal injuries.
Because of her EMT training, she can adapt to critical situations. However, she tends to overanalyze afterwards in pursuit of improvement. She also understands Latin and has very good memory.
Strengths
Ari is a good listener, so people often open up to her without much thought. Because of this, she is often sent on investigation and recon missions.
Weaknesses
She is very co-dependent on Oli, and sometimes seems lost without him. She is okay when she’s with Fen, but she can never go for too long away from Oli.
Other
- Ari knows her multiplication tables, but got lost at algebra and geometry
- She is really good at managing her emotions on the fly, but she takes forever to process it
- She is touch sensitive. Oli pokes her gently with his pinky before nuzzling in. Fen doesn’t do anything, but she can sense Fen’s miasma a mile away and will lean on his shoulder from time to time.

Ari hopes that if no one else, Teach is proud of her. She still has so much to learn, so that the others don’t have to get hurt…
Fen
Ari and Fen have study hall together. Eventually it turns into snooze hall, but Ari doesn’t mind. She enjoys the break.
Ari consciously chooses to ignore things that Fen tries to hide from her, like the dirty laundry and the almost permanent smell of iron in his otherwise clean room. She knows he says nothing to protect her, even if she disagrees. In response, she nags him about eating properly.
Valeri
Ari and Valeri talk about fashion all the time. Ari admires Valeri a lot for her confidence, and Valeri tries to nurture Ari’s confidence in return.
Vino
Ari loves listening to Vino infodump. She’ll pick up a bit from them here and there, and with enough conversations they can nerd out together.
Darian
Darian doesn’t summon or talk to Ari much. Early on, he called her “princess” for her refusal to cooperate in more combat focused experiments. Eventually he impressed on her that she should learn to use her power to the benefit of others, however she envisioned that to be. As she seems to have done so by tending to Fen and the others, Darian hasn’t seen much need to talk to her again.
Pinky
Ari doesn’t interact with Pinky much outside of the few times she was in Darian’s office. As two people who keep others at arms, even foot length, both of them are perfectly content with the lack of interaction.
Family Relationships
Oliver
Ari and Oli are so close, they may as well be attached at the hip. They tell each other everything; Oli losing his voice just made his words per minute shoot up and Ari can barely get a word in. Ari will lecture Oli because he doesn’t know any better. As siblings do, they fight, but they stay together because he is all she has.
Cafe Nowhere Ari
Cafe Nowhere Ari likes latte; something about warm milk, and Fen’s patterns get prettier every time. Her hair is still white and she wears glasses, although she’s self conscious about the glasses and only wears them when studying.
Ari is a freshman at the same university as Fen, taking her pre-reqs and aiming to either go into Marine Biology, or Bio chem to specialize into med school. She excels in the natural sciences, but if she needs to do one more integral she is going to lose it.
