Employment
Hydrangea is a forensic botanist. When people die, they sprout flowers. Hydrangea fills in for Albi sometimes to make the person presentable with the flowers they bloomed at death. If necessary, it also takes samples to ascertain cause of death. Outside of forensic work, Hydrangea is also a pathologist consultant for the hospital.
Personality
Hydrangea has a mischievous streak and enjoys playing (harmless) pranks on people they are close with. They enjoy their job very much.

- Nicknamed the Gardener because of their occupation
- Hydrangea is (currently anyway) one of the few flora that only has a genus name. It doesn’t have a species :)
- Hydrangea got a spider lily tattoo on its back to spite the cherry blossom tattoo on Hina’s back. Hina hates it.

Relationships
Albi
Hydrangea is friends and coworkers with Albi. Albi has the driest humor that only Hydrangea understands. Hydrangea has a drastically different arrangement style from Albi, so occasionally it gets requests through the morgue. Albi pays it extra for those requests since it’s technically not employed by the morgue.
Tsuiyue
Hydrangea is smoking buddies with Tsuiyue. They live in the same complex. Tsuiyue laughs at Hydrangea’s puns, despite not really understanding them. Hydrangea sends pictures of bloomed flowers to Tsuiyue sometimes, to which Tsuiyue will try to identify them.
Chingyi
It knows Chingyi doesn’t like it, but it doesn’t care. Haters gonna hate.
Hina
And they were classmates. The pink rivalry is real. They bicker the second they meet, with Hina nagging Hydrangea about not having a personal name and Hydrangea insulting Hina’s hair color. Why is it pearl pink and not cherry pink even though Hina is a cherry blossom? (they have a theme song, their ship name is H+H and it stands for Hatred and Hemoglobin) Hydrangea gave Hina a glass of blood water once, thinking he’d like it. Instead it turned Hina’s crown a strange red color for three months, and Hina has never forgiven Hydrangea.
